Where It Began
My creative roots run deep — carried through generations of strong, resourceful women.
My grandmother was an educator, a nurse, and an artist who built beauty with her hands, from porcelain dolls to flower arrangements. She grew up in the fields of Imperial Valley, the daughter of an immigrant from the Philippines, and worked tirelessly to create a better life for her family. Her drive and compassion shaped the way I see creativity — not as luxury, but as resilience.
From puffy-paint shirts and duct-taped spirit-day skirts in high school to my first handmade business, Bee Bambino, I’ve always found meaning in making. That same spirit of curiosity and care guided me as I built my life and work — through years of study, parenting, and community work — and continues to ground everything I create today.
What began as crafting for joy has become a creative practice rooted in legacy — a way of living pono, creating beauty, and carrying forward the values of creativity, connection, and compassion.
This is where the story begins.
